Our family...

My photo
We have been married since June 2007. We live in our home in Chapin with our amazing, sweet daughter, Audrey, who was born in March 2011, and our clever dog, Betsy. This blog is a way to keep our out-of-state family and friends updated on our lives!

2 Months Old!

I'm 2 months old and getting oh-so-big!
Audrey turned 2 months old today! Everyone keeps telling me "you won't believe how fast
time will fly," and so far, they're right! Our little girl is growing more and more everyday, and she is such a sweetheart! Now that Audrey is 2 months old, she...
  • Is wearing a size 1 diaper (but fits into 2s easily as they are not much bigger)
  • Wears 0-3 months sized clothing (1 or 2 newborn things still fit that were huge on her before)
  • Smiles ALL the time
  • Baby babbles constantly saying, "oooooh," "iiiiiii" or "aaaah"
  • Sticks her hands in her mouth to suck thumb or other fingers (to which I quickly give her a pacifier instead---pacifiers can be taken away; hands and fingers can't!)
  • Sleeps through the night almost 100% of the time (usually in bed by 11 PM and up after 6 AM)
  • Love, love, LOVES bath time! It is absolutely adorable; she just lies there, as if thinking, "Ah, now this feels nice!"
  • Is a Mommy's girl. If Audrey is fussy, tired, etc. and wants to be held, Mommy is usually the only person she wants to hold her. (This has gotten kind of frustrating for Mommy & Daddy because they want her to let other people hold her!)
  • Enjoys her bouncy seat and her swing throughout the day
  • Loves to eat and has gotten to where she eats much more quickly
  • Controls her head and can keep it up and turn it wonderfully
  • Rolls from her back to her side
I am sure there are so many more "fun facts," but those are what come off the top of my head. Tomorrow, I will be taking Audrey to her 2 month check-up at the pediatrician's office. I am excited to see how much she weighs and how long she has gotten, but I am also dreading the appointment because . . . SHOTS. I personally have a ridiculous fear of needles and cry as an adult when needles get near me (yep, I've had major surgery to deliver a child, but I totally wuss out with needles). So, I can't even imagine how scared I am going to be tomorrow morning when they want to stick my child with needles! I am praying that I hold it together, but that more importantly, Audrey does not have any big negative reaction to the shots like being extremely fussy later in the day. If so, I'll deal with it, but for her sake, I hope things go smoothly.

The past 2 months have been life-changing, and I can't imagine not having Audrey in our lives. Jerry and I love her so very much and cannot help but be proud of her every time she "talks" to us or flashes her million dollar smile our way! We are so incredibly blessed! Below, I've posted a couple of videos of our chatty girl!
