6 Months Old!

Well, our baby's one step closer to not being a baby! She's 1/2 a year old today! It is so hard to believe that in just six months, our lives have changed completely for the better. Audrey has brought such joy into our lives and makes us smile everyday. Our love for her enables us to love each other more, and we couldn't feel more blessed to be her parents.

Happy to be 6 months old!

At the age of 6 months, Audrey...

• Weighs about twenty pounds!!! (Last Wednesday, I had to take her to the dr., and she weighed 19 lbs, 15 oz!) She's QUITE heavy!
• Is wearing mostly size 6-9 month sized clothing
• Wears a size 2 shoe mostly
• Is in size 3 diapers
• Grabs at things constantly and puts them straight into her mouth!
• LOVES her some Betsy! She giggles and squeals anytime Betsy walks by, and she's just dying to crawl around with her on the floor!
• Is starting to get a tooth breaking through.
• Is nearly BALD!!! What happened to all my baby's hair!? It is coming back though, but much lighter!
• Laughs and smiles all the time!
• Eats cereal each day and is also enjoying a variety of vegetable baby food, such as squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots!
• Drinks juice in her cereal
• Is transitioning to formula now that Mommy's back at work (this hasn't been too fun, but we're working on it)
• Still takes short naps mostly, but will surprise us with a long one now and then
• Still sleeps about 10-11 hrs straight each night from around 8 until 6ish or so.
• Is doing a great job at Mrs. Karen's house while Mommy & Daddy are at work and always greats Mommy with a smile when she comes to pick her up!
• Is sitting up, pretty much on her own!



Mommy wanted to be sure these adorable cherry overalls fit that she finally washed to wear! Success!

Audrey is at such a fun age right now where we can practically see the wheels turning inside her head (especially since she's so bald - ha!) as she learns by taking in everything she sees. Over Labor Day weekend, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Terri, Great-Grandpa Max, and Great-Grandma 'Laine came down to visit, and we really enjoyed spending time with them since we rarely see them. Of course, my dad took tons of pictures, and we got some really cute ones. One of my new favorite pictures of Audrey is below. We also took a family picture in our Carolina outfits to kick off football season! Jerry is always thrilled for football season to start, and he was happy to introduce Audrey to her first Saturday of college football.

As I said earlier, the past 6 months of our lives have been incredible. We continue to thank God for blessing us with Audrey and trusting us to parent her as He sees fit. Before we know it, another 6 months will have passed and our baby will be a baby no more!
