Our family...

We have been married since June 2007. We live in our home in Chapin with our amazing, sweet daughter, Audrey, who was born in March 2011, and our clever dog, Betsy. This blog is a way to keep our out-of-state family and friends updated on our lives!

"It's the final countdown!"

WE WILL HAVE A BABY TOMORROW!

I had an appointment this afternoon, and the doctor was disappointed that I hadn't made much progress. He decided to do an ultrasound and another test to check the baby's fluid levels, movement, weight, and see if I was having contractions. After all was said and done, he said he was willing to do an induction, and he scheduled it for tomorrow morning! I was completely shocked by the "tomorrow" part. I was thinking to myself, "Ok, so maybe he'll schedule an induction for the end of this week," but TOMORROW? I immediately had an inner freak-out of just "Omigosh, what do I need to do?" but then I realized that I didn't need to do ANYTHING because we have been ready for like a week! The car's packed, the room's ready, and we've got all we need! We are ready!

It's impossible to describe how I'm feeling because it's so many feelings! I'm very anxious and overwhelmed with emotions, as well as a lot of wonderings. I'm prayerful that the delivery goes smoothly and does not take an incredibly long, painful time. However, whatever happens, we will have a baby tomorrow!

I know I need to try to sleep well tonight, but I honestly just don't see how that's possible. We will have to be up VERY early tomorrow morning, and I know my mind will be racing all night! Thanks in advance for all of the prayers and well-wishes; they are MUCH appreciated! I'm going to post the 3D picture from our ultrasound today, which absolutely cracks me up! She has her face all scrunched up in a grimace like, "It's cramped in here!" Jerry and I also have been laughing about her two fingers over her face. The ultrasound technician says her weight is around 7 lbs, 14 oz, so we'll see tomorrow how accurate that is! Audrey Blair, Mommy & Daddy cannot wait to meet you and give you lots of hugs and kisses!!!
Big chubby cheeks and a frowning face!
