Easter Bunny!

I think one of the most fun parts of parenthood are the celebrations of holidays with children. In the hospital, just 2 days after Audrey was born, we "celebrated" St. Patrick's Day by dressing up all in green. Easter, however, is a bit more special (especially since we're not in the hospital anymore!). Easter is an opportunity for us as a family to give thanks for the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and even better, rejoice that He is risen!

Yesterday, we took Audrey to the mall to have her picture taken with the Easter bunny. I dressed her in her "My First Easter" outfit, and we were on our way! It was nice that Audrey is so young because I didn't have to worry about her being "scared" of the bunny. She looked so tiny in the arms of that big ole' bunny! As Jerry clicked the camera away, he was able to capture a few really good ones! I love that he even got one of her looking up right at the bunny.

We are looking forward to our upcoming Easter weekend. My parents are coming to visit and will arrive Thursday night. I am excited for them to see how much Audrey has grown. It is definitely hard having family so far away, so I am very glad that they are able to come visit! They will have to leave Sunday afternoon to head back to TN, and then we will head over to Jerry's parents for Easter dinner (which is always SO delicious!). It should be a wonderful first big holiday celebration for Audrey!
